I’m currently a senior copywriter at Shipt, a same-day delivery business owned by Target. I work on everything from emails to landing pages to radio and TV ads, and I helped coin the company’s tagline, “Delight in Every Delivery.” Scroll down to see some of the TV spots I wrote for the company’s brand-anthem campaign.
From 2016 to 2020, I was a senior copywriter at Butchershop Creative, a branding agency in San Francisco. During that time, I was the lead copywriter for this new condominium project in the city’s historically seedy downtown.
To encourage people to think about the area in a new way, my team came up with a tagline — “Look Again” — and accentuated the colorful character of the neighborhood as a quality to embrace.
I not only developed the brand voice but wrote all copy for the splash page and subsequent website. I also wrote banner displays and neon signage for the structure itself.

From 2016 to 2020, I was a senior copywriter at Butchershop Creative, a branding agency in San Francisco. During that time I was the lead copywriter on this project for Silicon Valley–based venture capital firm Lightspeed.
To help the brand shift from B2B clients to consumer-focused startups, I focused copy on the art and science of building billion-dollar businesses, developing a tagline — “Tomorrow, Built Today” — and a writing style that matched the editorial approach to the design system. I also wrote all of the copy for the firm’s new website, including a manifesto and more than 25 partner profiles.
Within a year of our work, Lightspeed earned $1.8 billion in new capital, celebrated several IPOs, and expanded its female-led consumer portfolio with companies like Sophia Amoruso’s Girlboss and Lady Gaga’s new beauty business.

From 2016 to 2020, I was a senior copywriter at Butchershop Creative, a branding agency in San Francisco. During that time I was the lead copywriter on this video project for Uber.
The goal: create a fun and engaging security-training video that would be shown to all new employees. I pitched three concepts to the client and wrote the 15-minute script, as well as auditioned, cast, and directed the actors.
The video was a huge success, and Uber came back to Butchershop a year later for help producing a second video. This one would be shown to existing employees—all 25,000 of them.
Unfortunately, the videos aren’t licensed for public consumption.

From 2016 to 2020, I was a senior copywriter at Butchershop Creative, a branding agency in San Francisco. During that time I was the lead copywriter on this project for Oculus, the leader in virtual reality.
As one of three copywriters on the project, I worked on influencer outreach, packaging, retail design, digital advertising, and more over the 18-month project.
From June 2015 to October 2016, I was a senior copywriter at Drop (formerly Massdrop), an e-commerce site aimed at enthusiast communities.
I wrote product descriptions, marketing emails, newsletters, and blogs for the company, and I managed two other copywriters. I also created a style guide that is still used today.
Drop caters to enthusiasts of all kinds: watch enthusiasts, outdoor enthusiasts, audiophiles, denim enthusiasts—the list goes on. As an outsider to most of these communities, I had to learn them inside and out to be able to speak knowledgeably to the site’s million-plus subscribers.
